Regardless of the model, your Coverseal can always be opened or closed manually if needed. Even in the event of a battery failure, a manual override system is available.
The manuel override should only be used during a power or battery failure and should not be used for routine operation.
Manual Operation Instructions:
1. Remove the two side covers (one on each side of the housing).
2. On cylinder-equipped models, lift the housing on each side until you hear a click.
3. Locate the red motor cable and disconnect it.
4. Identify the manual override shaft and insert the extension provided at installation.
5. Attach the ratchet wrench to the end of the extension and set it to the desired direction.
You can now manually open or close the cover.
To restore normal operation, reverse the steps from 5 to 1.
To lower the housing, gently lift is slightly and release the internal locking levers before lowering it back into position.
